Awhile back I saw a company on kickstarter and was intrigued. They had premade granola mix, all you had to do was add water to it and form your granola bars. It also had the form to shape the bars and a mat to bake it on. It was a whole foods mix, which I love. Anyway, I thought about it and then forgot about it. Life is busy like that.I forgot about it until they reached out to me to see if I might be willing to come up with some different recipes using their product. I was like, heck yes! You may have noticed, up to this point, I haven’t done any advertising for any companies. It just isn’t my thing. Nothing against bloggers who do, I just have to really like a company to even think about it. Nutsola was definitely one of them. Check out their website and see what you think!
So, here’s my first recipe. I’ve got several coming up. I’ve been trying to come up with different breakfast options, honestly breakfast can get kind of boring. So, this was the first that came to mind. Yogurt and Nutsola topped grilled pineapple. It was so good. Even the hubs, who is not a huge fruit fan, loved this!
Stary by peeling fresh pineapple and cutting it in about 1/2 inch thick rounds.
I cut the core from my pineapple, you don’t have to do this, but I think the the core is a little too tough and stringy to be enjoyable!
So… the title is technically a lie. I didn’t actually grill the pineapple. It was kind of cool outside, so I used my panini press instead! Is that cheating? Although, I would normally grill… Anyway, not an ad, but I love my Cuisinart panini press. We have had it for at least 5 years and it is still going strong.
I turned it on sear, 450 degrees and high heat. Place the pineapple on.
It took about 5 minutes to get the beautiful marks on it. I let it cool for just a bit before serving. I actually hate hot pineapple. If you don’t, I am sure it is delicious hot as well.
Nutsola has several different flavors. I used the vanilla almond for this recipe.
My hubs grabbed the yogurt, it was a little sugary for my taste, but beggars can’t be choosers..right?
It’s so quick to assemble at this point. Top the pineapple slices with yogurt, then sprinkle on some Nutsola . That’s it!
I promise, you are going to want to try this right away. Even those picky little kiddos will be all over this.
A little close up view.
I also took a shot of the Nutsola , so you could see what it looks like right out of the bag. It’s so good!
