Ingredients

  • 5 fresh jalapenos
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup cheese I used parmesan for these photos, but also really love cheddar or pepper jack.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tube crecent roll sheet
  • candy eyes or ketchup

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cut your jalapeno peppers in half and remove the seeds.
  • Combine the cream cheese, cheese, salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
  • Spoon the cream cheese mixture into your peppers. I like to overfill mine just a touch so the filling squishes out just a little in the mummy wrapping.
  • Unroll your crescent roll sheet. Cut it into about ½-inch strips. Wrap your jalapeno poppers as shown in the post photos.
  • Do this for all 10 of the jalapeno halves.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake until they are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven. Add your candy eyes and serve. These are best served hot.
  • If you do not want the candy eyes, you can always use ketchup or olives for the eyes.
  • Now, sit back and enjoy. You deserve it!
