Pineapple BBQ Sauce Recipe
This simple to make homemade BBQ sauce has the perfect tropical twist that goes well on any grilled meats or veggies you are cooking!
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 ½ cup pineapple
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- salt to taste
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Pulse until they are smooth.
Pour it into a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly until the sauce has thickened.
I chose to strain the sauce, but you can also leave the chunks in it if you want. When the sauce is strained, it is ready to go!
The sauce will hold well in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
