Lime and Cilantro Marinated Cabbage
This cabbage always makes an appearance in our Mexican inspired dishes. It is simple to throw together, healthy and delicious!
Servings: 6 servings
- 4 cups thinly sliced cabbage
- ½ cup thinly sliced red onions
- ¼-1/2 cup fresh squeezed lime juice This variable will depend on how well you like lime.
- ½ cup chopped cilantro
- salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup jalapenos optional, if you want a little spice
Combine all ingredients, starting with ¼ cup lime juice. Taste. If you want more lime juice, salt or pepper, add more. Set aside and allow it to marinade at least 5 minutes, up to 5 hours. Set with your favorite Mexican inspired dishes!Now, sit back and enjoy. You deserve it!
