Cracked Wheat Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

This bread is simple to make, light and so fluffy. It is a great recipe for sandwich bread, french toast, etc. 

Soften the cracked wheat and make a sponge. Then add everything together into the mixer.


Mix until the batter is smooth, cover, and let it double.


Shape the bread on a lightly floured surface.


You can also make this recipe into delicious dinner rolls.


Place them in the pans, cover and let them rise until they are doubled.


Brush with an egg wash- optional, but makes the prettiest bread.


I scored the top, but that is optional as well.


There is nothing quite as good as a loaf of homemade bread. The smell is amazing and the taste is even better! This cracked wheat is a classic and even better when it is homemade.
