In a small bowl, whisk together the buckwheat flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.

In another medium bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix.

Gently fold the chocolate chips into the dough.

Cover the dough and chill it before baking.
