The quick answer is, no!! Pie dough is so easy to make at home. Let me walk you through each step for creating a perfect, flaky pie dough.
Whole wheat flour
This recipe can be done by hand or food processor. I will explain both in the recipe.
Add in ice water. Make sure the dough stays chilled while you are making it.
I like to pinch to test that it will stay together.
Let the dough chill before working with it.
Roll it out a few inches bigger than your pan. Fold the edges under.
Crimp your edges and it is ready! Either blind bake or fill.
