Homemade pie dough can actually be really simple to make. This recipe has been made in my own home hundreds and of times and by others too! 

Whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour

Salt

Butter

Ice water

This recipe can be done by hand or food processor. I will explain both in the recipe.

1.

Process in the butter.

2.

Add in ice water. Make sure the dough stays chilled while you are making it.

3.

I like to pinch to test that it will stay together.

4.

Let the dough chill before working with it.

5. 

Roll it out a few inches bigger than your pan. Fold the edges under.

6.

Crimp your edges and it is ready! Either blind bake or fill.

This is a light,flaky pie dough that you are going to love!

This pie dough is simple to make, is flaky, and delicious for any pie you are working on. You can also use this for quiche, galettes, etc.
