Is there anything better than a flaky buttermilk biscuit, fresh from the oven? How about one that is healthier?Made with whole wheat flour?

1. Whole Wheat      Flour 2. Baking Powder 3. Salt 4. Butter 5. Buttermilk

Ingredients

Step One:

Add dry ingredients to a food processor or bowl. Pulse until they are mixed.

Step TWO:

Add in butter and pulse several times until it is pea-sized

Step Three:

Add in buttermilk and pulse only until it comes together.

Step five:

place on a lightly floured surface.

Step six:

fold to create layers.

Step seven:

Cut with a biscuit cutter or lid.

Step eight:

I like mine to be about 1 1/2-2 inches tall.

Step eight:

bake until they are golden brown and the layers are separated slightly.

Although they are made with 100% whole wheat flour, they are still light, flaky, and delicious. It only takes 5 ingredients and about 20 minutes of your time!
