This recipe for whole wheat pie dough is simple to make and perfect for your fall baking pies.
Whole wheat flour
This recipe can be done by hand or food processor. I will explain both in the recipe.
Add in ice water. Make sure the dough stays chilled while you are making it.
I like to pinch to test that it will stay together.
Let the dough chill before working with it.
Roll it out a few inches bigger than your pan. Fold the edges under.
Crimp your edges and it is ready! Either blind bake or fill.
This is my favorite pie dough recipe and have made with hundreds of times!
This pie dough is flaky and delicious, just as a good pie dough should be. It is also made with whole wheat flour, which makes it a healthier option!
