Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons finely grated onions
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • cup fig preserves
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Add the butter to a pan and heat over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the minced onions and cook for about 3 minutes. Once it is cooked, add the minced garlic and cook for another minute or 2.
  • Pour in the balsamic vinegar, honey, and fig preserves. Reduce the heat to low and cook the sauce for about 8 minutes, stirring frequently to ensure it doesn’t burn. This will allow the sauce to heat and time to reduce.
  • Once it is cooked, it is ready to use.
