Easy Instant Pot Black Rice (Forbidden Rice) Recipe

This is the simplest method for cooking black rice! This easy Instant Pot black rice (forbidden rice) recipe is hands-off and done with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups black rice
  • 2 ½ cups liquid- this can be broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon salt less if you are using a salted broth

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in the inner pot of the instant pot. Seal the lid and set to high pressure cook for 15 minutes.
  • Once the cooking time is done, let it natural release for 10 minutes. Then, finish with a quick release.
  • Remove the lid, fluff, and serve.
