    Am I allowed to have a favorite whole grain as a whole grain blogger? If so, spelt is without a doubt my favorite! I use it often and love it so much.     What is spelt flour?

    Spelt flour is a type of flour made from the ancient grain spelt (Triticum spelta). With a distinctive nutty and slightly sweet flavor, spelt flour adds a unique taste to baked goods. This ancient grain, a distant relative of modern wheat, has been cultivated for thousands of years.

    Spelt flour can be used in a variety of recipes, from bread to pancakes, offering a different texture and flavor compared to regular wheat flour.
