When watermelon is in season, this Quick and Easy Watermelon Mocktail is one of my favorite ways to cool off. Made with fresh watermelon, lime, mint, and sparkling water, it's light, refreshing, and comes together in just a few minutes.
Whether you're serving it at a backyard barbecue or simply relaxing on the patio, this watermelon spritzer is an easy summer drink everyone can enjoy.

Ingredients
- Fresh Watermelon- Choose a ripe, sweet watermelon for the best flavor. Since it's the star of the drink, the sweeter the watermelon, the less sugar you'll need.
- Fresh Lime Juice- Fresh lime juice adds a bright, citrusy flavor that pairs perfectly with the watermelon.
- Sugar- Depending on how sweet your watermelon is, you may only need a tablespoon or two. You can also substitute honey if you prefer.
- Fresh Mint- Fresh mint adds a cool, refreshing finish to every sip.
- Sparkling Water- Plain sparkling water keeps the drink light and fizzy. I usually use Perrier, but any sparkling water or club soda works well.
How To Make The Best Watermelon And Lime Mocktail
- Cut the watermelon into chunks and add it to a blender with the fresh lime juice and sugar. Blend until smooth.
- If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the watermelon juice through a fine mesh sieve. I usually skip this step because I like using all of the fresh watermelon.
- Fill each glass about halfway with the watermelon mixture. Add a few mint leaves, lime slices, and ice if you'd like.
- Top with sparkling water, stir gently, and serve immediately.

Recipe Tips
- Taste the watermelon before adding sugar since some melons are naturally much sweeter than others.
- Fresh lime juice gives the best flavor.
- Wait to add the sparkling water until just before serving so it stays fizzy.
- Chill the watermelon ahead of time for an extra-cold drink without needing as much ice.

Storage
The blended watermelon mixture can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Since fresh watermelon naturally separates as it sits, give it a good stir or shake before serving.
If you're making this ahead for a party, wait to add the sparkling water until just before serving to keep the drink bubbly.
